Saturday 25th of May. moved along a bit to Santa Luzia.
Not happy with where I was, I moved along a bit to the pretty little town of Santa Luzia. Anchored again, I inflated the dinghy and was delighted to find that my outboard still works. I thought that age, neglect, complete submersion 3 years ago, a missing cowel, old fuel and a replacement carburettor gasket made out of an old chart would have pushed it over the edge but no, all credit to the Japs, it still goes.
In town, in a bar, I was served by a man who I had met the previous day in the bus station at Tavira. We acknowledged each other then as we were the only two in the bus station bar. He showed no sign of recognition this time, I wonder what he was thinking?
let's just hope he doesn't have a 'paranoid bone in his body'!
