Tuesday 13th of August. France. Andernos les Bains.

10am. Entering the channel to the Bassin.
Great clouds over the sand dunes.
The dune de Pyla. Over 300m and the highest sand dunes in Europe. Those specks on the top are people.
Cap Ferret lighthouse.
I was aiming to get amongst those boats that you can hardly see but only got within 200m of them before running out of water. This is my home for the night, the twin keels are proving useful again.
Nomad didn't settle well.
and walking ashore was a mud nightmare.

At last I am off the anchor and in Seville proper. I should have read the book more carefully, this is not Holland, they only open the bridge to get in and out once every other day. And the book said that they always have space here but from what I can see I was lucky to get a booking, I can't see any other free spaces and I am wedged between two gin palaces, moored for and aft, Mediterranean style. First thing tomorrow,  shower, get mosquito nets then meet Margaux at the airport.
