    Hi Brendan, hope you are well. What are your plans now? Back towards Portugal and back to the Mediterranean?
    I suppose now that Marguax is back at school you'll need to be flying back to Zurich to see her, so you'll need to be near an airport.
    Life has been a bit hectic here. I am trying to get my head around estate planning.

    Hi Jules, yes same as last year. Bilbao mid September, Porto mid October and Malaga in December.

Sunday February 2nd. Almerimar marina.

This is a much bigger place than I was expecting, big marina and huge holiday complex with loads of bars and restaurants and the ones that are open are busy even on a Sunday in February, probably they come from Adra. A lot of people living on their boats too judging by the amount of mail in the marina office. Almerimar is a tiny place on the map, I'm not even sure whether there is an old original pueblo.

Monday 10th February 2025. Still in Aguadulce marina.

My destination, Almeria marina, is not open to visiting boats so I have booked in here, Aguadulce, for another 19 nights. Almeria is only 15 minutes away on the bus and people tell me that this is a better place to keep a boat anyway. And I've met someone living on their boat here who used to be a member of the sailing club in Tollesbury. It is very sheltered here, a sun trap in a bay under a towering cliff, flat calm when the wind is howling out at sea. I wouldn't like to be here in the summer though, it must be like an oven.
