Sunday November 10th. Figuera do Foz.

Figuera do Foz. Halfway to the south coast. A sizeable tourist spot with Ferris wheel, big Irish pub and lots of beach. The best thing about Fig do Foz might be its closeness to Coimbra which i intend to visit tomorrow, after a visit to the Irish pub.

    (Steve) Coimbra visit - is that because of its Roman heritage ? Some of it looks interesting and quite impressive.

      It's the equivalent of our Oxford or Cambridge, very nice to walk around for a day. The Roman thing is a bit out of town, I didn't see that.

At last I am off the anchor and in Seville proper. I should have read the book more carefully, this is not Holland, they only open the bridge to get in and out once every other day. And the book said that they always have space here but from what I can see I was lucky to get a booking, I can't see any other free spaces and I am wedged between two gin palaces, moored for and aft, Mediterranean style. First thing tomorrow,  shower, get mosquito nets then meet Margaux at the airport.
