Unfavorable winds for a few days so I've booked into the marina here for another week. Virgin cruise ship in town. More pretty colours.

Damn! My last night in Santurtzi and I've just discovered an Irish bar, the one place where I can sit on my own and have a few pints without looking or feeling like a weirdo. Good music, good barman, no rip off tourist prices, in fact no tourists. If you're wondering why it's empty it's because my timing is off. It's Sunday evening and the barman tells me they're open until 2am.
Saturday 7th September. Santurtzi marina. Bilbao.

Friday 6th September. On the way to Bilbao.
Blue sky! It seems like an age, it poured all through the night and was only 16 deg in the boat this morning. I have 8 hours of this fair weather before the wind turns and the rain comes back, endlessly, so I'm making a dash for Bilbao while I can.
Thursday 5th September. Anchored in Orio.
Stormy this week but worse next week and I'm still a day away from Bilbao.
Wednesday 4th of September. Anchored back in San Sebastian.
I would have gone further but I saw the rain on the horizon.
Sunday 1st of September. Pasaia marina.
I've booked in for 3 nights and can explore San Sebastian from here. Pasaia with it's beautiful fjord like entrance. But they managed to get big ships through the entrance. An impressive slab of rock at the entrance, you can just see the tip of the lighthouse up there. I don't think I've seen a forecast like this since setting sail a year ago.
