Beautiful anchorage at the foot of cliffs in Herradura Bay.
Loads of fish all around the boat, Google tells me they are 'Saddled Sea Bream'.

    Hi Brendan, I am wondering if the many fish farms are marked on your nautical maps? I would expect so, but in our day Pat and I had to be on constant guard all along the coast from the Mar Menor to Malaga. (It was mostly my duty to keep scanning the surface. We became a bit paranoid about sailing into the submerged nets.)

      Yes, fish farms are marked but the pot markers aren't and there are lots of them, always a worry when closing the coast in the dark.

Friday 14th November. Cascais marina.

Forced into the marina in the early hours by the weather I have booked in here until Sunday. I really wanted to avoid this place because of scary stories about the prices they charge (the king has/had his boat here). But €25 a night is not too bad and they didn't charge me for last night/this morning, some would. I'm not sure that I would have been able to get further upriver against the wind anyway. It looks like I'm going to be here until Wednesday.
