    I think he was Welsh Jules. It's a day I always avoid, I didn't set foot on land.

      I thought he was welsh as well, but according to Wiki (not as reliable as it used to be) most likely born in Cumbria. At least he set foot in Ireland, unlike St George who was Georgian or Armenian or Turkish 😂

Friday 14th November. Cascais marina.

Forced into the marina in the early hours by the weather I have booked in here until Sunday. I really wanted to avoid this place because of scary stories about the prices they charge (the king has/had his boat here). But €25 a night is not too bad and they didn't charge me for last night/this morning, some would. I'm not sure that I would have been able to get further upriver against the wind anyway. It looks like I'm going to be here until Wednesday.
