The marina is full so I am anchored outside, off a very popular beach.
Palacio de Comenda. Where (someone has said) Jacquie Onassis stayed while grieving the death of JFK.
Impressive cliffs of the Arrabida national park.

    Lovely coastline. You are approaching the holiday season in full swing now, so I suppose the marinas will be full (and pricey). Maybe book ahead and be sure to have a place, weather permitting.

      Crikey! I never thought about that, it would really mess things up if Lisbon was full. I'll phone them.

Friday 14th November. Cascais marina.

Forced into the marina in the early hours by the weather I have booked in here until Sunday. I really wanted to avoid this place because of scary stories about the prices they charge (the king has/had his boat here). But €25 a night is not too bad and they didn't charge me for last night/this morning, some would. I'm not sure that I would have been able to get further upriver against the wind anyway. It looks like I'm going to be here until Wednesday.
